Hi Good Day!
I’m currently working on a CFD model using HyperMesh CFD, and I've noticed a significant difference in how cut sections of solid bodies are displayed in the two software environments.(HM CFD & SIMLAB)
In SimLab, when I take a cut section of solid geometry, the solids appear correctly as filled volumes, making it easy to visualize the internal structure, identify gaps between solids, and perform operations like moving surfaces or boolean subtracts with accuracy.
However, in HyperMesh CFD, when I take a cut section through solid bodies, they appear as hollow surfaces—almost like thin shells—even though the geometry is solid. This makes it **very difficult to:
Identify gaps between solids
Align surfaces for contact
1)Perform solid operations like subtract or imprint with confidence.
2)I’ve tried adjusting the display and section options, but I’m still facing the same issue.
Could someone please advise:
1)How to enable true solid visualization in cut sections within HyperMesh CFD?
2)Is there a way to get similar solid cut section behavior as seen in SimLab?
3)Are there any settings or display options I might be missing?
Could you give me any tips or best practices for this ?
Thanks & Regards,
