HyperMesh Configuration Recommendation

Hello,

Does anybody know if there's a recommended procedure or best practice for saving various orientations within a HyperMesh model? My goal is to be able to switch between 10-20 configurations with a click instead of manually repositioning components.

The way I know how to do this is to create attachments and connectors at rotation interfaces, create pattern copies the model components that I want to rotate, and use the subsystem browser to organize and toggle the patterned components on and off. This method causes an .hm file size increase and time intensive setup that has me asking… is there a better way?

Hey Mandy,

What you are doing now is what we have available.

Eventually we would tie in mechanisms to subsystems. In this way the subsystem part orientation would be saved to the subsystem configuration.

Thanks Jason. Do you know what the timeline for implementation of this in the mechanism browser with attachments is, and if there is or will be training available for it?
