Questions about the Integration of Ansys HFSS and Altair PhysicsAI

If our customer uses Ansys HFSS for High Frequency Signal Integrity Simulation on TDR/IL/RL/FEXT/NEXT, what kinds of output files from Ansys HFSS could be used for Altair PhysicsAI on training/testing/prediction? p.s. We have done .h3d for training/testing in Altair PhysicsAI, but we don't know the process from Ansys HFSS to Altair PhysicsAI. Thanks for any help.

PAI supports any results that can be read into HyperView, as stated in this FAQ post:

I'm not familiar to HFSS output formats, but assuming you can export a result, for example, as OP2, or maybe even some ASCII formats, you could use them or translate them using HVTRANS.

Maybe you should get in touch with HFSS support to make sure you can export results into a neutral format, supported.

Hi @fangkuoyu,

For one of the customers, Ansys HFSS results have been used in PhysicsAI.

However, instead of using the binary result files of Ansys HFSS, step files along with csv files were used for curve prediction in PhysicsAI.

Since, it is a customer project, we cannot provide any examples on the same.

Thanks for your comments. Are there any documents on curve prediction in PhysicsAI? It seems to me that this feature falls outside the scope of training/testing/prediction via .h3d/.fem files.

you just need to provide your KPI/vector data in a .json format as shown in this tutorial.

You could populate your dataset folder with the FEM files (preferably .fem or Nastran format) and using the same name, an additional .json with your curve values.

When you select the files for the dataset, PAI would read these as vector inputs.
