LICENSE ERROR 9

Hello,

I got a student licence and I successfully installed HyperMesh, however when I open it, the following license error (9) comes up:

 (When I close the error message, Hypermesh closes)

 

Altair License Manager: License error

 

Feature(s): GlobalZoneEU, HyperWorks, HWHyperMesh

Error Code: 9

Error Description:

Feature not found

Error Code: 9

Error Description:

[LOCAL] C:\Program Files\Altair\2019\security\altair_lic.dat - (Err: 9) Feature not found

 

License Path: C:/Program Files/Altair/2019/security/altair_lic.dat;C:\Program Files\Altair\2019\security\altair_lic.dat

 

 

I checked that in the security folder, the licence’s name is altair_lic.dat  and not altair_lic.dat.dat.

 

Then I checked the host ID in the LICENSE that is: 24FD529325ED

From the command window, it seems that this is the LAN ID, while the Ethernet ID is this one: 08626613CBCD.

 

Is this one the problem? Or not?

    When selecting the HostID make sure to select the hardware ones and not the virtual ones. The virtual ones change every time you reboot your machine, while the hardware ones will stay the same.

    That is typically the cause of errors related to HostID.
