Solid Creation Help

I have converted a 3D scan .stp file into a CAD model using Spaceclaim and am now attempting to mesh it using Hypermesh.

I want to convert the CAD model I have (which is made up of an volume enclosed by surfaces) into a solid. When I try and use the "Solids" feature in the 3D section of the ribbon it does not work. It does not allow me to select the surfaces and can't find any enclosed volumes. Can anyone help with this? Model attached.

    Hello,

It's already a solid. You can verify this by checking the Model Browser under geometry.

Or by setting the selection to Solid

YOu can also tell by the transparent color (this indicates a 3d solid)

    Not easily probably ;)

Might want to mesh and drag cross sections and then morph after.

Thank you Jason! Can I ask how you would suggest meshing this with a hex mesh?
