Meta Particle Generation

Good day,
I hope this email finds you well.
Please, I am trying to generate meta particles for spherocylinders to model a corncob. I decided to overlap meta particles to create bumps on the surface, making it resemble the texture of a cob. However, after ensuring that everything is defined correctly, the meta particle is still not generating. I'm unsure if the issue is due to the significant overlap that might be preventing the generation.
I have attached the simulation file to this message. In the current setup, I have only included the factory because I simplified the simulation. I plan to add the geometry once the particle is successfully generating.
Please, I will appreciate any assistance on this.
Thank you.

Hi,
The orienation of the particle is alligned iwth the X axis. In the factory you have the orientation fixed so it's trying to place the particle in the X axis but there isn't space in that area.
You could change so it's orientated in the Z axis:
But it's still very tight to fit, EDEM will try 20 times using random sampling and if it cant place the particle it stops trying, if you make the area larger or use the Position > BCC function to set the start point to be the centre of the factory area that will help.
Also just to note BondingV2 doesn't support overlapped spheres, it will explode after creation. You can us the fibers bonding model for overlapped spheres:

Thank you so much, Stephen. I will work on this recommendation.

Good day Stephen,
I hope this message finds you well. Thank you for the recommendation.
I could not find the Fiber bonding model among the base model and plugin model under physics in the EDEM software as shown in the picture below. According to the EDEM documentation, it is supposed to be under plugin models. I also tried tried the linear elastic bonding model but it is not working either.
Please, what is your thought on this? Thank you.

Hi, are you using EDEM 2025.0 ? You should see it in the plug-in models list but only with 2025 or later.

I am using 2024, I will install the 2025. Thank you.

Good day, Stephen,
I just want to say thank you for the assistance so far.
I have installed EDEM 2025, but I’m encountering an issue with the fiber bonding model. After applying the model, the overlapping spherocylinders are not bonding together as expected only a single particle is being generated.
I’m wondering if this could be due to not having calibrated the fiber bonding model yet or if there might be another underlying issue. I’ve attached the simulation file for your reference.
What are your thoughts on this?
Thank you.

Hello, Stephen,
I have figured this out. There is a suggestion I am going to drop soon on the EDEM 2025.
Thank you.
