Altair doesn't show up on my directory under program files
It does show up on another folder called program data, but it has only one folder in there called licenses and that folder is empty. No I have a license but I have no way to connect the program to my license key and therefore I can't used the downloaded program. The program asks me to connect to the license through a directory which I can't do or by logging in to Altair, which I do, and it says the operation is successful but then the program closes and nothing comes from that. Please help me connect my Altair software to my license key.

Which product are you trying to install ? By default the installation will be in Program Files, you can choose a different location during installation and then you will find the ALMUTIL to enter the student license key as per
