As i have applied Remote load on a General connector. I need the result or behaviour of the General connector. Is it possible??
Hello Kumar,
In Altair SimSolid, General Connectors are used to model structural relationships like springs, bushings, or custom connections between parts, but the results available for these connectors are somewhat limited. You can obtain forces and moments transmitted through the General Connector, which can be viewed under the "Connector Forces" section after running the simulation. These results show how the connector influences the global structural response, such as stresses and deformations in the connected parts. However, SimSolid does not provide detailed local stresses or strains within the connector itself since it is not modeled as a solid body, nor does it offer fatigue or failure analysis specific to the connector.
When you apply a remote load on a General Connector in SimSolid, you can see how that load affects the overall structural response and the forces transmitted through the connector. However, SimSolid does not provide detailed local stress or deformation results inside the connector itself since it’s not modeled as a physical solid. You can view the connector’s reaction forces and moments, which reflect its behavior under the applied remote load, in the “Connector Forces” results after the analysis. So while you won’t get detailed internal connector stresses, you can assess how the connector is performing by examining these force outputs and their impact on the connected components.
