Why error writing to command file in V2025?

Description: After updating to HyperWorks 2025 on Windows 11, HyperMesh reports an "Error writing to command file. Possible permission error. Path=C:/Users/<MyUserID>/Documents/command1.tcl" in the status bar. Despite the error message, the "command1.tcl" is in that place, has full permissions and is owned by me (<MyUserID>), and of course the same applies to my user folder itself. Deleting the file and restarting HyperMesh 2025 makes the specific command file reappear with meaningful content, so HyperWorks apparently has no problems creating the file and writing to it.

So, what permission error does it mean and why should there be any error at all?

Changing the startup folder in the HyperMesh shortcut/link to somewhere else where I also have full permissions, does not change anything: the command1.tcl still appears in my documents user folder.

In our company environment we have to install HyperWorks with temporary admin rights, but run it with restricted user rights/policies (mainly regarding registry and c-drive access).

But with version V2024.1 the issue does not appear, even though the environment was the same . The "command1.tcl" is created in the "startup folder" of the shortcut rather than in my user documents folder (if I set it so).

    Hello Yadayada_123,

This seems to be related to the launcher gui.

Would you please try to start HyperMesh without the launcher:
\HyperWorks\hwdesktop\hwx\bin\win64\runhwx.exe -client HyperWorksDesktop -plugin HyperworksGeneral -profile HyperworksGeneral -l en -startwith HyperMesh

    instead of this command:
\HyperWorks\hwdesktop\hwx\bin\win64\runhwx.exe -client HyperWorksDesktop -plugin HyperworksLauncher -profile HyperworksLauncher -l en -startwith HyperMesh

    Best regards,
    Gunter
