simlab force control

How to control force in simlab based on monitored element force?

For example, I have a column like this:

While pressure is from environment, and the structure is already determined, I want to control the compression F between two plates to control the expansion or contraction of this element, based on the distance between two plates.

How can I program on this force and realize force control based on environment? (in simlab-optistruct explicit solver)

just wondering…can't you just apply an enforced displacement, and after the model is run, plot force x displacement curve? From there you would know the force needed based on a certain displacement.

    Thanks for your quick response

But one of the main purpose of my research is to find proper force control function works for this machine. Since in reality we can only control motor force, we cannot enforce displacement in reality.

And the displacement should agree with some function, so I also cannot replace it with spring.
