Automatic Midsurfacing Licensing Error

Hello, I am trying to do batch midsurfacing using the reps tool in assembly menu, however when I run the midsurfacing through batch mesher I encoutner the following licensing error (see photos).

My license is activated, hypermesh (v25) is working normally with every tool and I haven't encountered a similar problem before.

Is this a student license limitation or have I setup something wrong with my license? If so how could I fix it?

Thanks in advance for your help and time.

    Hi,

This issue seems to be licensing related and perhaps you don't have enough Altair Units to run BatchMesher on multiple parts at once.

Just so you know, Batchmesher will pull extra units for multiple parts:

But this can be limited in the Preferences:

I have tried to do the same and have encountered the same issue. Went through license re-activation, just in case. I am using the HyperWorks v2022.2. The "Assembly" menu is missing in the preferences. I have checked my license usage and it shows a usage of 22 Altair units, which aligns with the unit draw that you mentioned here.

Hope to find a solution. Thanks.

    Hi,

Indeed, this option allowing you to specify number of CPUs used by BatchMesher is a new feature from HyperMesh v2023.
