How to Fix Cannot Load Geometry

The error does indicate that the specific file you are importing is corrupt, can you import it to any other software (for example Altair Inspire)?

Can you import other CAD files to EDEM, for example any from the tutorials? This way we could determine if it's the specific file from SolidWorks or some more general issue:

When EDEM imports geometry it reads the file, converts it to the required format, writes this out in your computers TEMP folder and then reads this converted file in. This is an automated process however any issue with the TEMP folder can cause problems, I'd try the first two steps above first, but if you are still having problems you can go to EDEM Creator > Tools > Options > File Locations and select 'geometry import temporary file location override' and set a different location for the temp files to be written, any folder you have read/write permissions for would be OK.

I tried with conveyor tutorial in Altair Documentation. This file is 3d object type folder. But negatif. In addition to I am using EDEM Student Edition Creator.

HI, just to confirm the conveyor tutorial has a .stl CAD file, does the conveyor stl import OK? If not does it give the same error?

I fixed by your last instructions. I thought the folder as obj type but my computer is reading this folder as undefined type. Then I converted it as stl and it worked. Thanks for your help
