Hi Good Morning,

I want to perform an analysis to find out the stress produced in the tooth of gear.
Could you suggest me that which analysis should I do and which contact should I use in Simlab?

Here is the Image of Gears which I want to perform an analysis.
How to give contacts for this gears in simlab and How to find the contact forces and stresses, because I am using Simlab for this Analysis.

Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Siva,

You can do Non-linear analysis where you can define frictional contact between the interface of gear tooth. In output request, define CONTF (contact force) and Stress which will give you the required output.

You can refer the below tutorial in Optistuct profile and replicate the same in SIMLAB.

    Thanks

    Hi Rajashri,
In the above tutorial, the gear was fixed and Displacement given in X direction for Rack.
But In my case, I know the Rpm of one gear. If I fix the one gear and how to I give the input as Rpm for another gear.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Rajashri,

I meshed my model and try to apply the boundary condition. But I am not Know how to give the input as Rpm.
So could you help me how to apply the Inputs and contacts?
