2D impact simulation

Hello,

 

my name is Andrei, I am a student at ENSTA Bretagne, France.

I just registred to this forum. For a student project I have to do a 2D simulation of an impact. The impact will be at 45 deg. between an aluminium plate which will be the projectile and a second component (target) made of two aluminium plates bounded together by a layer of glue.

The problem is that when the simulation is imported into Hyperview and it starts, one can see that the projectile passes through the target without deforming it.

Could you please help me with some information.
