Missing Rbe3 element in HM-v2024

I am working on the task with HM-v2024 with the interface of ABAQUS, here I need to create RBE3 → COUP_DIS element, but I can not select this type of element when using "RBE3 Elements", only the type of DCOUP3D is available. Then I go to the Preference page to check, still missing COUP_DIS element that I need.

Could you please clear me how can I create this element successfully?

Many thanks for you!

    Hi Lucky,

COUP_DIS has been migrated to Abaqus constraints. To know more about constraints, Kindly go through the below Article,

    Hello @LuckyMarian ,

for a couple of versions, Abaqus state of the art couplings (*coupling_kinematic and *coupling_distributed) have been moved to a new entity called Constraints. You can find ore details on this topic in the article below:

From 2024, you can create these couplings either through Connectors (this is the recommended process if you want to use these couplings to model fasteners, spotwelds or weld lines):

For other modeling purposes, you can create these couplings from Model Browser with a right click in a blank area → Create → Constraint.

In 2024.0, using the method above, you need to create the independent node by hand. From 2024.1, you can compute this independent node automatically once the dependent nodes selected.

    Hope that helps,

    Michael
