HyperMesh - separate STL files in free student edition

Hello, the University of Galway has asked me:

  1. We have two separate STL files, these are the native valve leaflet and calcification. We want to mesh these as an assembly so that nodes of each part are coincident where the two meshes meet. I was wondering is this possible in the free/research version of hypermesh?

Would you be able to comment on this?

    do you have access to SimLab under the student version? SL has really nice tools for these cases, as the 'Join/Share' command.
