RAPID MINER STUDIO DOES NOT OPEN

Hi Altair,

I'm encountering an issue with AI Studio 2024.1 (RapidMiner) on my MacBook Air (macOS 10.15.7). Despite following the download instructions precisely, the application does not open. When I attempt to launch it, the icon bounces as though it's about to start, but the app never opens.

I ensured no special security settings were blocking the application, and my Analytics professor, who is familiar with this platform, suggested it might be a glitch and advised me to contact Altair support. This is my fifth time reaching out regarding this issue, and I would appreciate your guidance on how to resolve it.

Hi Sashaa,

First of all, sorry you have not heard back from us. I will give you something to try, but if this does not work, could you please open a Support ticket by emailing da-support@altair.com? That will allow us to focus more resources on what you're running into.

Note that I am only running version 10.3 on my Mac. For version 2024, you may need to replace "RapidMiner Studio" with "AI Studio" and instead of the .RapidMiner directory, you may need to find the .AltairRapidMiner directory.

In a command prompt, type

open -a "RapidMiner Studio" [for 2024, it may be open -a "AI Studio" ]

See if that makes any difference.

If it is still not opening, you can try running the program as an administrator by typing

sudo open -a "RapidMiner Studio" [for 2024 perhaps: sudo open -a "AI Studio" ]

If it is still not opening, please navigate, try to locate the /Users/<username>/.RapidMiner/rapidminer-studio.log file [or /Users/<username>/.AltairRapidMiner/AI Studio/2024.0.0/ai-studio.log] file.

I tried all of the instructions you provided, but it did not work. I opened my Macbook terminal and coded to open the application and it still could not! Then when I tried running the program as an administrator, it asked for a key which I did not have. Then I tried to navigate to the direct file name and open it that way but it did not work. No methods worked, AND these instructions were very confusing, is there no way to schedule a phone call or meeting of some sort just for a few minutes? This problem will consist and I really needed to have had Rapid Miner downloaded 2 weeks ago. I'm really behind in class because of this issue, and Altair is having a lot of trouble answering me and working with me properly. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do. Thank you very much.
