changing .fem file error 9
Hello,
I am using student edition of Hyper Works Optistruct. I work on composite optimization and I would like to change the ply angle in generated .fem file and run multiple simulations using cmd. Is it possible on the student license? I tried to do that and every time when i change something in the fem file I get Error 9. Is there any way to solve this problem?
Thanks for help in advance.

Hello Adriano,
Thank you very much for your answer. I have tried that today in the HyperStudy and I get a license error as well, which is weird because I can open all of the programs from student package without any problem and I can run analyses in Hyperworks as well (if I use unchanged solver deck).
The error I get every time I try to change fem file and run Optistruct and in case of HyperStudy:
THE FOLLOWING ERROR MESSAGE WAS RETRIEVED FROM THE LICENSE SERVER

I already checked that type of problems on this forum and i don't have double format in the license file name (dat.dat), I tried with license files for 3 different Ethernet IDs, I also checked every time the environmental variable and i tried to do all of these with security folder as well as different folders and paths and its not working. I reinstalled the software and it did not help as well.
What should I do in such case?
Thanks for help in advance.
Hi Paula,
have you tried using HyperStudy for this operation? HyperStudy would allow you to perform these changes parametrically.
In HM you can assign a parameter to your ply angle, and then launch HyperStudy with this .hm file, and use this parameter for optmization. HyperStudy will perform the call.
I believe the student version has some limitations on using the solvers thrrough cmd.
