Topology optimization result ossmooth (isosurface to step file)

Hello I'm Shin.

I want to export the topology optimization result to step file by using ossmooth.

In target model, it contains solid element and shell element.

design area is only soild one, whole shell part is nondesign area.

I confirmed reasonable result in Hyperview ISO view. It contains solid part (topology optimized result) and original shell part.

I want to export the topology optimization result which exactly reflect the iso view result,

but when doing ossmooth only solid part can be confirmed.

How can i resolve this problem?

The OSSMOOTH tool will only act in the designable area (solids in your case).

Alternatively, you can load your shell mesh, and use the 'surface>>from FE' to convert it into surfaces and then export them as well.

but in my model, it also contain solid element in non design area, but it act on ossmooth tool.

Only shell element cannot act on ossmooth tool. So I can't get the exact reason why shell elements are out of control.

Also, I tried surface >> from FE method, it successfully works well, but hypermesh cannot export the step file through this process. I think the model DOFs are too heavy now...
