Seems the solver cannot access the license specified/activated in that pop-up window. You'll either need to set the environment variable or place the altair_lic.dat file into the
C:\Program Files\Altair\2020\security
or
C:\Program Files\Altair\2021-edu\hwdesktop\security
directory.

Is your HyperWorks CFD Solvers also the student edition? I just got the EDU version and license today and it works fine for me:
acuRun: "C:/Program Files/Altair/2020/hwcfdsolvers/acusolve/win64/bin/acuSolve".exe -np 1 -nt 3
acuSolve: Successfully checked out HyperWorksEDU for Acusolve
Are you sure you're pointing to the correct HyperWorks CFD Solvers installation from the installer downloaded from the EDU email? It's also possible that the correct license is not being used by the solver (possibly different from how the GUI accesses the license). If you are able to create an Environment Variable, please create one whose name is:
ALTAIR_LICENSE_PATHand whose value is:
C:\Users\ritte\Documents\altair_lic.dat
and see if then the license will check out properly. You may need to save your model, close/exit and restart HyperWorks CFD for it to 'take'.

could you make a test run using 4 cores?
i think the EDU license limits the number of cores up to 4. so you cannot run with 24 cores.1 -

But also the student version allows me to calculate with 24 threads. The problem was the save path of the license file.0 -

The Problem was the save path of the license file. After i added it to the
"C:\Program Files\Altair\2020\security" path
it works fine.
Thank you very much!
