why is Radioss solver is running very slow?

i suggest you to go thourhg the ebook in Altair University for Radioss.
It will discuss the aspects that drive the solver, such as the timestep concept.
Probably your timestep is too low, due to your model (element size, properties, contacts, etc).
You can increase calculation speed, using timestep control, at some extent, but it would be nice to understand why your timestep is so small.
You can go to the 'check elements' tool, and verify for 'time', and it will calculate your ideal elemental timestep.
