Logistic Regression - Default Comparison Group

How is the default comparison group selected when using nominal attributes (predictors) for the Logistic Regression operator? I am aware that we can set the comparison groups manually by using Nominal to Numerical (dummy coding with comparison groups specified). But, when we are using nominal attributes directly, how does RM's Logistic Regression select the comparison group for each attribute?
