having both id and labeled attribute in data set

dear all,

While Im generating 'id' for a daset, it overrides or disappears the already labelled attribute. Mine is a classification problem. How to have both? I want to generate id to see which examples are used while go thro the steps of process. Also I need to have labelled attribute for the classification problem. thanks.

Hi Thiru,

are you sure your "labelled attribute" is not of role id? If so, please set it to another role first.

@schmitz , thanks for your reply.

if i use 'generate id' over the data set with ALREADY labelled attribute, the labelled attribute disappears. After importing
the data set, then set role for label, then 'generate id' - it works. . Not sure why label disappears, if i use the generate id on the dataset imported with label.
