Editing Tire file for random road simulation
Hello,
I am trying to run a In Plane Random Road Simulation for which I have generated random road coordinates and recorded it in excel.
The research paper I am referring to says that the coordinates can be given as an input in a tire model under pavement definition.
This is for a 2-wheeler and the tire the model used is Fiala tires. Now which file should I define these coordinates in. I cannot find the pavement definition part and am confused because of 2 reasons: 1. I don't know which file I should edit the .tir one or .rdf one.
2. While choosing a simulation what should I choose for the road file * flat event
* Road file or
* Auto tire
Any kind of Inputs are helpful and appreciated.

Hi draucis,
Road files have .rdf format and tire files have .tir format. If you have road coordinates then you can use a PCD road. Follow the link to read more about it.

Provide this file to autoTires in tire property file section
In the event menu, choose 'Flat Event'. This sections is used for steering lines. In case there is crg file, the the centreline is automatically extracted.
