Hello Julio,
To simulate a press fit contact one needs to enable the clearance value, as Santhoshkumar mentions above. To simulate a press-fit contact you need to input a value<0 in the clearance field. You also need to define a Non-Linear structutal solution. I am going to attach a screenshot that will probably help you understand the parameter a bit better.
I hope these pictures help.
Kindly,

Hi again,
I have adjusted the clearance as indicated but during the running of the simulation I get this error message:
"
A fatal error has occurred during computations:
*** ERROR # 2605 ***
CONTACT interface 88 has Secondary node 1556 that lies exactly on the
Main surface with OPENGAP option. Impossible to define pushout direction.
*** PROGRAM STOPPED: FATAL ERROR(s) ENCOUNTERED.
"
I have tried with several options, like Overlap, but unfortunatelly the problem is not solved.
Any idea?
Thank you

Hello Julio,
I get the feeling that we are speaking about shell elements here and not solids. Is that the case?

Hi Ioannis,
yes, it was about shell elements. I have already corrected it. I am very new to Altair, therefore not still fully familiarized.
Thank you.
