How does RapidMiner define

When using the "search Twitter" operator, we have the option to search for recent tweets, popular tweets, or both. What I'm wondering is how does RapidMiner (or is it the Twitter API?) define "popular"? Is it tweets from blue checks? A certain threshold of engagement with the tweets? Something else? I'm mining Twitter for an academic research project and it'd be helpful to know what I'm actually getting with the "popular" setting.

Many thanks for your time and attention!

    Hi @stkoenig,

"Popular" tweets have an obscure definition.  Some tweets are defined as "popular" by Twitter using an obscure algorithm (tweets are not defined as "popular" manually).
Here a copy of what I found on this subject on the Tweeter documentation :

"Top Tweets are the most relevant Tweets for your search. We determine relevance based on the popularity of a Tweet (e.g., when a lot of people are interacting with or sharing via Retweets and replies), the keywords it contains, and many other factors".

    Hope this helps,

    Regards,
