Rapidminer: "Application not responding"

I just downloaded Rapidminer for the first time. When I tried to open it did not respond: "Application not responding".
I have a Macbook Pro running macOS Catalina. Can anyone help me out?

Hello @TassiDav

Can you go through the below thread? This is related to the RM issue with Catalina and ways to resolve. Onre more check is that you need JAVA 8 for RM.

hi @TassiDav hmm you are starting RM for the very first time? Did a dialog come up asking to give access to various folders?
