1D Transient Heat Transfer Analysis OptiStruct Guidance
I'm relatively new to Hyperworks, especially OptiStruct. I've been working through some tutorials to try and get a better understanding for the software before I try and make a model that essentially mimics a snail shell structure to investigate the temperature change over it through a 1D transient thermal analysis if possible (if 2D is more simpler I am happy to do that instead). It will be a simple structure of just two layers that are in contact (an inner and outer layer) and the temperature applied at one side of the model (the outer layer). Details such as time of exposure to heat and specific temperatures are currently being determined.
I was hoping I could get some guidance on how best to set up this model. What type of load collectors would I need etc? What would be the best method that could achieve what I have set out to do?
Just for your information I have the materials and their respective properties for both layers (density, thermal conductivity and Specific Heat Capacity).
I am happy to answer any questions regarding what I would like to do.

The attached model might be helpful as a starting point.
In this example, one plate has a fixed temperature on one of its edges, and it exchanges heat through thermal contact, and there's also heat convection with the environment. As the time goes by, the plate is heated to some temperature.

When I try and open it in HyperView though it says 'failed to attach results' should this be the case? As I can't seem to look into the parameters used to make the model, all I can do is look at the geometry. Am I missing something here?
