Is Optimize Weights (Forward) a hybrid method of feature selection ?

Hi, I wondering the difference between Forward Selection and Optimize Weights (Forward) ? I read this article https://community.rapidminer.com/discussion/51049/feature-selection-part-1-feature-weighting, it says Forward Selection is one of the Wrapper method of feature selection. But how about Optimize Weights (Forward) ? Is it a hybrid method ?
