Size and shape optimization

Hey there, 

 

I am designing a beam for the 2018-2019 SAMPE bridge contest and have done a free size, size and shape optimization of my current model. I was able to figure out how to import the solver decks for the free size and size optimization but I do not know how to import the optimized shape OptiStruct gave me . Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi WRCpce2018

     

    If you want to re-analysis the optimized shape, you can use the OSSMOOTH option from Post > OSSmooth.

    After you have completed your run, you will get the .sh file from your run directory. The .sh file has the attributes of the new shape.
