Hello,

 

can I supress the following resetting of the MINDIM Parameter in Composite Optimization?

 

 *** INFORMATION # 6360  The user-defined MINDIM= 5.0000e+00 on DSIZE card 1 is too low  to guarantee satisfactory results when manufacturing constraints,  composite optimization, multi-model optimization and/or DOPTPRM,TOPDISC  is active.  Resetting to MINDIM= 5.9194e+00 based on the average mesh size.

There are rules to apply minimum member size. The OS helps states the requirements. It depends on your average mesh size. It should be at least 2 or 3 (can't remember exactly) times the average mesh size. That's why it is being reset. If you really need a smaller min dim, then your mesh should be finer.
