Missing property definitons, Composite LayUp

Hey there,

I'm trying to build up a composite layup in HyperMesh on a relatively simple geometry. I am using Abaqus as my solver.

I'm following these steps:

1. I create my mesh on a 2D surface, using S4 elements.

2. I create an elastic material (type engineering constants) and set up my material behavior.

3. I create a property (shell section composite) and assign it to my component (including my mesh)

4. I create plies, assign the material orientantion, the material etc.

5. I create a Laminate and order my plies.

If I try to visualize my laminate everything works perfectly fine, lets assume I wanna look at it by properties. I am able to see all the plies visualized 3 dimensional with the fiber directions.

If I try to go for a datacheck in Abaqus only with this setup i always get the following Error, which I am not able to get rid of by now.

5550 elements means every of my mesh elements seems not to have any assigned property, even though I can see my plies, when using the visualize by property function. What is the workaround here? If I use the HyperLaminate function I can not see my plies, and it seems like with a single property assigned by HyperLaminate I can not Request Output for every of my plies, or can I?

If needed I am happy to share my input file or the extended data file for further information.

Thanks for your help.

Best regards

    Hi Cluue,

In the model browser, can you RIGHT click the laminate and select "Realize" and then export your deck.

Thansk alot Joshua, that worked out. Is there any chance for me to visualize the layups in HyperView and get my results for every ply I created?
I do request an output for every ply already.

    Hi,

Following video can be helpful to know about viewing the results for each ply:

    Thank You!
