Not sure what you're looking for in terms of a school project but I'll give a shot at some relevant discussions for the list youve given.

 

Rapidminer is a great tool for preprocessing - there have been been a few discussions on this community that may be of help

Rapidminer can't help you formulate your hypothesis but you might want to use some of our tutorials and data samples as a jumping off point. This project on predicting survival on the Titanic is one of my favorites.

 

Creating and using a model is something that you will need to do inside of rapidminer, we do have a white paper available on verifying and testing your models here.

 

This video and demo on using decision trees in rapidminer is a great tool.

 

There are numerous clustering methods to use inside of rapidminer - this tutorial on K-means clustering is a great example
