please help me for defining contact

hi my dear friends.

I want simulation side impact POLE for a car (Taurass model)

We know that there are many parts in the car. If we want to define the collision process in the side impact test, how to create contact?

please guide me:

1-Is self-contact definition alone enough?

2- According to the attached image, do I have to define a INTERFACE-Type7 (Node/SURF) for both adjacent parts?

3-Is it possible to define only one Interface-type 7 for several adjacent parts in side impact?

I think you can create a self impact of all parts of your car (master SURF ALL and Slave NodeSet from the same SURF ALL);

For you impactor your could add a simple contact adding your SURF ALL for your car, and slave as your impactor.
