Trying to run a nonlinear dogbone macro simulation in MDS

Hello,

I am trying to analyse a nonlinear dogbone macro simulation in MDS, i have run an injection molding analyse to obtain the fiber orientation tensor or the part that i analysed (that is the dogbone that i want to analyse in MDS), so i have some files that inspire mold export because of the analysis. The problem is that when i select injection molding - mapped input, MDS needs two files to run it, the fiber orientation result file that is .xml file that inspire mold has exported and then it needs another one that is Mfg mesh file that is a .inp file.

I don´t know how i can get the second one file (Mfg mesh file .inp) i have looked for it in the directory of inspire mold and trying to export the fiber-main.fem to .inp to try but it doesn´t work.

Can someone explain what i need to do to make the dogbone analysis in MDS with the mapped input of the dogbone that i have analysed on inspire mold?

Best regards.

    Hello @Juan Torres ,

Did you get an answer for this? I will let our support team contact you.

To create a unit cell, you don't need to mesh file and FO file. We will send you the steps to create unit cell file from MDS. The generated unit cell file is used by OptiStruct to run structural analysis.

    Thank you and best regards,
