I wanted to add different properties to each element to represent functionally graded materials. I had to create components for each property and hence material. Is it possible to create property table with each element having different material prop

hi, unfortunately I don't have a quick solution for that. You will need to assign different props/mat per element.
If you have some kind of control over the IDs, maybe a TCL script could help you to get this done easier.

Is it possible to assign material property to the element and not to the component in Hypermesh. I am not sure if that is feasible?
