Optimize Parameters (Quadratic) of W-M5Rules Fails

If I try to use Optimize Parameters (Quadratic) on W-M5Rules, specifying any of the boolean parameters causes the process to fail.  Interestingly, the (Grid) version works fine.  Is this a known bug?

(If it is relevant, I'm using 5.2.008 -- bugs introduce in 5.3 make that unusable for me.)
