Hı everyone,

I want to do fatigue analysis. After Lattice Optimization, my model has 1d beams.

How to convert from 1d element to shell element.

Thank you

You can perform fatigue analysis using OptiStruct. Please refer Optistruct online fatigue analysis tutorial and down free eBook using below link.

There is no direct option available to convert 1d to 2d  element. Please check for script exchange for any scripts.

Is it possible to perform fatigue analysis on the lattices when they are linear elements (in optistruct)?

I don't see why you can not perform it ...

I don't see why you can not perform it ...

Optistruct keeps telling me that linear elements can only be used in spot weld fatigue analysis (version 2019.2). See error below:

     *** ERROR # 6817 ***
CBAR/CWELD only can be used for spot weld fatigue analysis. PFATSPW is
required for spot weld fatigue property.

That is why I am asking if it is possible.

    CBAR/CWELD

Linear FE for me means the classic element (HEX using Lagrange interpolation for example).

I have never done fatigue analysis on beam or weld FE. Maybe we have to wait for the new OS release ...
