License error: Error 9161 | Error 31061 | Error 9223

Hi,

I've tried to run a simple dipole from CADFEKO 'Component library' but when I run 'Feko solver' the following errors appears:

Both are from 2020 version. The license error has been constantly since I'd installed Feko (It's not my first time). Initially I tried with 2021 version but error was the following one:

None of the solutions worked (even Ethernet ID was fine). So I'd install 2020 version and errors did disappear. However, now I need to mesh a rough surface, and meshing stops on 5%.

Later I think: 'Maybe it's a Feko problem'... So I decided the dipole thing, and now I have several error and not solutions. It's obviously a licence problem but my machine is authorized and I don't know what to think (or do).

I will thank any help.

    Hi Luis

Please attach the cfx file that is causing CADFEKO to crash.

    Hi, Mel.

These are '*.cfx' and '*.cfs' files which crash CADFEKO. I'm trying to mesh a rough surface that I import from Matlab as a STL format. When validate, says: 'testing for triangles that are meshed too coarsely', so I try to remesh surface but it stops on 5 % and crash.

If you use a Standard mesh, this will be a triangle edge length of about lam0/12.
A mesh with lam0/1 results already in 1458797 triangles. You are quite likely running out of memory during meshing.

I understand. But every mesh that I try shows the 'too coarsely' problem or crash CADFEKO.

In that scenario, how I create an appropriate mesh? Is necessary change surface dimensions?

You would need to reduce the surface area, yes.

I don't see any sources. What are you solving?

Sorry, I forgot to add sources.

What I'm trying to do is analysis of target scattering on surface with RCS.

I'm following these steps (from 'Example guide'):

    1. Create geometry.

    2. Add a 'plane wave source'.

    3. Add a 'far field request'.

    4. Mesh surface.

I still can't create a appropiate mesh and I have 'Licence error' which doesn't let finish 'Feko solver'. For 'Licence Error' I created a case on Altair support, I'm waiting for a reponse.

Right now, I don't know if what I'm doing is right.

For this you can use Large Element Physical Optics.

A "coarse" mesh setting results in around 500 000 triangles.

    Thanks, Mel.

I'll work with it when I solve all error that I have.
