Hi Kiran,
Snow can be quite a complex material to model, in EDEM we typically consider snow in these cases to be a powder type material in one state, no changing of it's state. You can use the powders database to get a representative material model or if you have any experimental data calibrate against this.

Just to add to Stephen's comment. The material model that is in the demonstration files of the example are a qualitative model of snow. As Stephen said, the model is not changing it's state, but we modelled it as a powder that is compressible and cohesive like snow can be. Hopefully this helps you.
