Solver for transient thermal

Hello,

I'm working with application "steady state AC magnetic coupled with transient thermal 2D" to simulate AC current passing through a coil.

What are the solver and adjustments that can give accurate and fast results with this type of application?

I'm using the iterative solver, but it takes too much time to give a result. The direct solver doesn't converge.

Hi there,

It sounds like you have not declared your material properties correctly. It will help you share some screenshots of the material set up.

Additionally, make sure that you take into account the skin depth to mesh properly the electrical conductor domain at the boundary otherwise a poor mesh can produce convergence issues as well.
