key diffrences between Encog and Rapid Miner?

Hi,

i am exploring several solution for data analysis and i was wondering if

anyone can shed some light on the key elements which differ Rapid Miner from Encog?

i realize that they might be totally different, as i was able to find very little results referencing them both. (i do have some experience with Encog framework, but none with rapid miner)

Hello,
I'm not familiar with encog, but I think that the biggest difference between the encog and the RapidMiner is GUI. The RM has more user friendly and intuitive GIU. You can also use RapidAnalytics on a server. Another difference is in the license. Encog is under Apache license and RM under AGPL. The encog is aimed on Neural Net. The RM is more general with preprocessing operators and visualizations.
