Select Attributes operator does not output the selected attributes

Hi
I have these operators set up: Read Excel>ReplaceMissing Values>Select Attributes
In Select Attributes I can see the menu of attrbutes and I am able to select from these and move these to the right, then click Apply
After clicking Run and switching to the results button a list of examples is shown but with no attributes selected at all
This problem happens regardless of whether I select all, subset or single attribute option
Any ideas why so?

Hi,
can you please post your process setup and a detailed description of your data (number of attribtes/examples, attribute names, attribute types)?
Best regards,
Marius0 -
Correction to my first post: The problem only exists with the sub-set option, not the single or all attributes option
The data set: 29 examples, about 11 attributes, of which about 10 have been de-selected when imported. Almost all polynomial attributes0 -
Re "process set up" do you mean something other than the set of operayors that I have selected and used? Please excuse if this is a dumb question0

Further update, under the Subset option it will output two selected attributes that are integers, rather than polynomial.0

Problem seems to have been the "|" character in the field names. When it was removed all affected fields were now outputed as expected
thanks, nevertheless0 -
Aah, that's probably because internally Select Attributes uses a regular expression. Next time, try escaping the bars with a backslash, i.e. instead of
my|attribute
write
my\|attribute
