Collapse element edges to midpoint while using cleanup tool.

Hi. While using cleanup tool, by default the element edge gets collapsed to any one node of the edge if the elements are failing minimum length or aspect ratio.

Query:

Is there a way I can change this setting so that the element edge collapses to midpoint? I can do it manually (using collapse to midpoint option) but if I can change the setting in cleanup operation it would have been so helpful.

Thanks

    Hello,

starting from today, you can Update Simlab to v 2022. In this version what you ask is possible.

New behavior of the feature is:

Modify > By Element > Collapse Edge

    * Added a toggle “Using cursor hover” to collapse the element edge at the cursor location and without selecting any entities. o To collapse the element edge to a corner node: hover the cursor over the corner node and element edge that need to be collapsed, then click.

    * To collapse the element edge to the element edge mid position: hover the cursor over the element edge that need to be collapsed and click

    Thanks, Alessio
