"malformed reply from socks server"

Hello,

I am using Rapid-Miner on a Windows XP system.
To let RapidMiner connect to the Internet (for the update, or other purposes), i put in the Preferences, either the httpProxy, in this case, no connection, or i put a socks proxy, in this case i get the message "malformed reply from socks server".
Of course, other software (Eclipse, etc.) i use frequently on this same PC connect perfectly to Internet, either thru http proxy or thru the same socks server. What's going wrong with Rapid-Miner. Is it its jre?

    Hi,

    when you checked the http.proxyHost did you also check the http.proxySet checkbox?
