*** ERROR # 2926 *** in Component Mode Synthesis with CBN

Hello,

for a Component Mode Synthesis with CBN with both structural and fluid elements, I get the following error:

 *** ERROR # 2926 ***  The fluid element exists but neither UB_FREQ_F  nor NMODES_F is specified in CMSMETH card.

 

The inputdeck looks like shown below and UB_FREQ_F  and NMODES_F seem to be specified in CMSMETH (1000.0 an 10).

Anyone an idea, what the problem could be.

actually these fields you have filled are for the structural modes.

you should actually add these as an extra line of your CMSMETH:

the solution is to add a second line like that:

 

CMSMETH 2       CBN       1000.0      1080000000
+                         1000.0      1090000000
