"Factor Analysis vs PCA?"

I'm fairly new to this whole thing and I'm trying to get my head around component analysis.
Given a very basic data set of;
mode/displacement/cylinders/mpg
DB9 5.9 12.0 15.0
DBS 5.9 12.0 14.0
A3 2.0 4.0 24.0
A3 QUATTRO 2.0 4.0 24.0
A4 2.0 4.0 26.0
A6 3.2 6.0 22.0
Q5 3.2 6.0 20.0
A4 QUATTRO 2.0 4.0 23.0
A5 Cabriolet 2.0 4.0 26.0
Brooklands 6.8 8.0 11.0
...
What I want to know is the overall correlation between mpg and displacement. At first glance PCA appeared to be what I required, but looking into it, it seems using R and a straightforward factor analysis is the way to go?
Thanks in advance.
