As soon as I press the 'Simulate' button, I get this error.
Please help me to resolve this issue!!
HI
you need to install the HyperWorks bundle as well
HI Abdul,
It appears you have not set the paths as mentioned here - https://community.altair.com/community?id=community_question&sys_id=63fdc4dddb766410cfd5f6a4e2961967
This is mentioned and there is a link to this post on the contest page as well
Let us know if this helped you solve the error
I can"t find the paths mentioned for 'hwdesktop' and 'hwsolvers'
please help!!
How to use the Altair Compose file in the Altair Activate for simulation? I am unable to figure out that which file will show me the simulation for my desired design?
The Altair Compose shows the perfect outline of my desired path in 'figure 3', but when I run the simulation in Altair Activate, the simulation shows some other path.
Hi @Rahul Ponginan!
I have installed Altair softwares(HyperWorks, Embed, Compose and Activate) in another Local Disc instead of Local Disc C. I have followed the procedure mentioned in the link https://community.altair.com/community?id=community_question&sys_id=63fdc4dddb766410cfd5f6a4e2961967 but still, the simulation in Altair Activate won't run. What should I do now to get Altair Activate ready for simulations?
Regards,

Hello Abdul,
have you specified the new path in your activate model?
You can check how activate reads the path. Check the plots in the Block: Reference Trajectory:
You may add a 2D-XY plot in addition.

Does Activate run with another representation of the plant? If you select the 'linear model' instead of 'Motion' and the 'PV controller' - does this combination run?
Hi @armin !
Yes Altair Activate runs with the linear and non-linear representation of the plant. But it does not run with the cosimulation represenation of the plant.

I get this error when I start Inspirestudio and then Inspirestudio doesn't work.
Please Help!!

I have specified the new path in my activate model but still I am unable to generate my desired path.
Please send us screenshots of the paths set in your activate preferences and also the error you see.

Please make sure you follow the below tips and steps. especially steps 3 and 4
You still might see issues when you select the 'observer' as controller. The reason can be the setting of the 'initial state':
4.Either you give the whole system more time to settle (the observer will adjust itself) or you define a better value for x0_est right from the beginning:
The current model pulls the initial position for the observer directly from the .csv file and later modifications are not considered. The easiest (but not most flexible) way is to replicate the modification.
Please make sure you follow the below tips and steps. especially steps 3 and 4 The path should be given in [mm] and within +-160mm for X and +-125mm for Y. You can check the path easily by changing the Block 'Reference Trajectory': the 'Gain' of 0 ensures that the plant (ball) will not follow the path input, an easy way to speed up checks (I recommend to select the linear plant with PID controller as well and remove the 'real time scaling' in the simulation parameters to get results in "warp speed".) The plot shows the problem for the selected path.... scaling and offset is required: You still might see issues when you select the 'observer' as controller. It is possible that the executable/s were corrupted on download and hence you will need to completely uninstall the software and redownload the executables, It is important to first try deleting the downloaded file and downloading it again.
If you still face issues, to make sure the file is not damaged on download, run an md5 checksum on the downloaded file (just google md5 checksum):
After running the MD5 checksum in your computer, kindly see if your MD5 checksum value matches the one here: b5a90b2cd4837de5f5ca5a03accb553d
Also make sure your computer meets the hardware requirements below, especially the graphics card and driver version.
Operating System Windows 10 (64-bit) Memory
• 8 GB of RAM (32 GB recommended)
• 15 GB or more of free hard disk space
Graphics Hardware
• OpenGL 3D graphics accelerator compatible with OpenGL 3.2 or higher
• OpenCL 2.1 required
• True color (24-bit) support
• Install/update to most recent OpenGL patches/drivers
• 1920x1080 screen resolution or higher for optimal user experience
• 2 GB or higher dedicated RAM
• Only AMD and NVIDIA GPUs supported (Intel chipsets are not supported)
Hi @Rahul Ponginan
I've attached the screenshots of the error and the folders that are visible to me. Please tell the procedure for installing all the necessary software in a drive other than Local disc C.
Waiting for your reply

Daud,
Please uninstall HyperWorks and make sure it is installed in a separate folder, right now all your tools are installed in the same folder.
Please then set the paths as per this post https://community.altair.com/community?id=community_question&sys_id=63fdc4dddb766410cfd5f6a4e2961967
Hello!!
Please tell me how to save the Activate Simulation as h3D file to run in InspireStudio.
Please help me in this regard.
Thanks!!
Hello!! Please tell me how to save the Activate Simulation as h3D file to run in InspireStudio. Please help me in this regard. Thanks!!
Hey Abdul!
You do not need to save the .h3d file separately. When you run your simulation in Activate, the software automatically generates/updates the .h3d file corresponding to it. You can find this file in the same folder as your Activate file named altair_logo.
