Hi everyone,

I would like to know whether I can create a new parameter in HM CFD such "Eddy viscosity ratio" or "q-criterion"? I want to visualize the parameter using "slice plane". For Eddy viscosity ratio, the expression is:

Eddy viscosity ratio = eddy viscosity/dynamic viscosity

You can use the Calculate tool in Post to define new quantities.  Assuming dynamic viscosity is constant - you can create a function using whatever turbulence outputs are available in the nodal quantities.  Be aware that eddy-viscosity is typically represented as 'nu' kinematic, where material viscosity is typically represented as 'mu' dynamic.

Also - if you click the little 'lightning' icon in the 'Calculate' tool pop-up panel, the list of expressions will populate with a set of pre-defined variables.  One of those is Q-Criterion.
