sphere-shaped airbag
Hi Everyone! I'm trying to simulate an airbag, using the hyper crash guide for this. But I can't figure out how (and is it possible) I can make an airbag in the form of a sphere? In hypermesh, a flat area is constructed, which I then expand in such a way that a sphere is obtained? or is a sphere being built in hypermesh (see the figure)?

Hi
What guide you are referring to?
In HyperCrash it is not possible to create the mesh of the bag. You will need to use HyperMesh for that.
As per spherical airbag, it will be spherical if you have proper initial flat geometry, material and the pressure inside.
it will not be like a rubber ballon.
There is this Radioss example in the documentation related to airbag:
I hope this is helpful to you.

If it possible, may I ask a few more questions?
I studied the example from the link. But I still could not understand how this folded model is created (Fig. 1). First, a model of a deflated airbag is created in Hypermesh, then it is folded in Hypercrash? In this case, what does the airbag look like before folding (deflated shell with separation into chambers)? Or is such a model created in Hypermesh completely?
Let me clarify the situation a little: I'm not really interested in an airbag, but just a shell that is inflated with gas, and I'm studying the question of how to fold it more rationally.0
